I totally get that what we’re looking for here is “a zombie.”  But I’m a bit distracted by all my other questions.  What is this sign?  Is it an ad?  For what awesome thing?

Also, why wouldn’t you want to be a zombie twice?  I mean, obviously the living don’t typically want to be the living dead.  But if you already are one, is there a particular reason you wouldn’t want to come back in that form again?  Maybe if you’re the slow-moving, stiff-armed kind of zombie instead of the kind that can play video games and have a non-demanding career.   Is that what this sign is going for?  Some kind of zombie hierarchy?

It’s a quote from a 40’s horror movie King of the Zombies, and it’s accurate. You can see the delivery on youtube here.

I don’t know if that particular joke structure has a name, but I think it’s along the same lines of “I made a list of the five people I hate the most and you’re numbers one through three.” In the movie itself, zombification can be cured, so you could be zombie on several different occasions, but you still probably wouldn’t like it.

See also: there are 10 kinds of people in the world. Those who understand binary and those who don’t.

Well, but 10 literally does mean ‘two’ in binary. The others examples subvert traditional syntax (the convention that each item in a list of items is distinct from the others) to convey comedic emphasis. The binary one is almost more of a pun.
