I think this looks like an auto fill type form. The ratings on C.R. are Excellent, Very Good, etc. So, it seems like they just inserted the average rating in a pre-set verbiage???

-I believe you mean to say either-

“And it occurs to me that if there’s one place where a missing zero can make a pretty big difference, it’s in the medical field.”

-or-

“And it occurs to me that one place where a missing zero can make a pretty big difference is in the medical field.”

In the restaurant’s defense, based on the picture I’m guessing the shopping plaza bought the sign. So, it’s the shopping plaza’s fault and since I’m sure they charged the restaurant for it, the restaurant owner should give ‘em hell!

The lack of capital ‘F’ could be forgiven if they simply had the decency to add a period after ‘life.’ The eeriness of the image is direct result of this unterminated phrase leaking its unbound soulstuff indiscriminately into the ether, like an unbandaged arterial wound in the English language itself.

First of all. aostorpphes usually only show possesion of something. just because something end with an "s" doesn’t mean that it has an apostrophe. for ex., books. they cannot be in possesion of an object, therefore, they do not contain an apostrophe. the only other time that a word contains an apostrophe that isn’t in possesive form is if the word is a contraction such as can’t, won’t or don’t.secondly, whether the possesor of the object is plural or not can affect where you place the apostrophe. if the object is singular, the apostrophe goes before the "s", as in "John’s". But if the possessor is plural, then the apostrophe goes after the "s", like in this sentence: the dogs’ furs were each brown and black. Was this answer helpful?
